So it's not entirely true na Filipinos don't have enough savings if a lot are able to cash out up to P300k for a used car.

why do i keep talking about gov't spending as the key to pulling the economy out of recession / depression?

    it's Keynesian economics

    ito 1 minute lang

practically every government in the world is being advised by economists who subscribe to Keynesian theory

that's why governments all over the world have implemented stimulus programs

For stimulus package at the household level, it doent matter how you spend it. No need to monitor how it was spent.

Pero kung yung package is targeted for businesses, dapat sa business gamitin. This can be monitored. And kung loan, it should be paid.

Dont worry dahil hindi naman unlimited yan.

ang nangyari kasi sa economy natin malaki ang nawala sa demand

    madami kasi nawalan ng trabaho

no salary = no money to buy things = reduction in demand

so ang dapat gawin ng gobyerno i-replace ung demand

the gov't can give money to those who lost their jobs para may pang gastos

gov't can prevent more job losses by helping businesses stay afloat

like bigyan ng pang sweldo ang mga business (wage subsidy)

    parang ganun

It seems like hindi affected ang middle class.

Sa FB pa lang ang dami dami nagbebenta ng kung ano anong food na hindi naman mura and it gets sold out. Yung naging "friend" ko because I always order from her, she sells hundreds e ang effort mo lang is to sell a food that people crave for and then deliver house to house

Like yung cookies that I bought from BGC, I am amazed that people order cookies for delivery at malakas daw sabi ng delivery guy, hindi naman lahat into desserts, much more cookies

Napapaisip tuloy ako, how kawawa am I in terms of ipon

    Re: 2nd hand cars.

Meron akong chineck na Civic SIR nung January. Yung last price ng seller is 320K. Di lang binigay sa tawad ko na 300K.

Ngayon, nakita ko ulit yung unit naka post na under new owner/seller at ang asking price is 470K.

Difference? Binalik lang sa all stock na itsura (stock air filter, stock height, OEM mags, bagong detailed yung interior/exterior, clear tint, etc).

Ok din mag buy and sell ng 2nd hand cars ngayon hehe.

Asia’s Worst Share Market Just Got Another Jolt

Overseas investors dumped a net $138 million of local shares on Friday, the biggest single-day outflow in five years. While the outsized withdrawal likely resulted from one large stock transaction involving a foreign seller, market watchers say the selloff could worsen. That’s after poor containment measures contributed to the Philippines last week surpassing Indonesia as the nation with the highest coronavirus cases in Southeast Asia.

“There is a big possibility that outflows will go on because of our condition,” said Japhet Tantiangco, an analyst at PhilStocks Financial Inc. “The economy is a laggard and we lead the region in infections, which is a big concern for foreign investors.”

Selling by foreign funds has contributed to the Philippines Stock Exchange Index’s 25% plunge this year, the biggest in Asia. The broader MSCI Asia Pacific Index is down 1.5%.

Meanwhile, equity investors are struggling to find any positive signs on the earnings front. Analysts have slashed 12-month forward profit estimates for companies on the benchmark 30-stock PSEi gauge by about 24% since the start of 2020, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

    a civic SIR? it's a cult car.
the seller will probably claim that the car is all stock and hasn't gone racing, and therefore deserves a higher price than one that has been raced and abused.

    personally,
at that price, i'll go buy a newer car that'll probably be a better ride and easier to maintain.
    heh heh.

    OT.
