No class suspension or lifting of number coding Thursday despite protests
    March 14, 2012 1:40pm

There will be no suspension of classes or lifting of the number coding scheme in Metro Manila on Thursday, when militant groups hold protest actions against recent fuel price hikes.

On Wednesday, the Department of Education (DepEd) said classes in the elementary and high school levels will push through, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.

The report said the DepEd, which supervises classes up to high school, does not expect the protest actions to cause widespread disruption of daily activities.

Militant groups are to hold on Thursday protest actions against the recent round of fuel price hikes. The actions include a protest caravan.

For its part, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said there will be no suspension of the number coding scheme on Thursday.

"Number coding will be implemented tomorrow. March 15, 2012," the MMDA said on its Twitter account.

Under the number coding scheme, vehicles with plate numbers ending in 7 and 8 would be barred from major roads from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays. — LBG, GMA News

    tama yan

if you suspend classes and coding it will only make those protesters feel powerful

gotta show them they're insignificant... that life goes on without them

Update: some schools are announcing class/work suspensions on their own. So if you have kids, better check with your school for updated notices regarding tomorrow.

Sobra sobra na PUJ sa Manila. Kailangan na magbawas. Dami kasi gusto maging PUJ driver kasi walang kailangan gamitin na utak para magpatakbo ng jeep at pwede lang kahit kailan matulog.

Classes in QC were suspended. Bad trip since today's supposed to be the last day of school for my daughter; nagkagulo tuloy ang schedules.
