Eto, kwento kahapon ng isang kakilala ko who works as an accounting supervisor at a university sa Recto.
The parents of a "4th year" college student travelled from the province (parang Bataan) to Manila and went to the accounting office of this university where their son is studying. From what I understood from the story, they wanted to ask why the university it charging thousands of pesos from their son for projects. Syempre, a discussion ensued.
...the receipts from the university were faked at yung signatures were forged.
Syempre, hinde makapaniwala yung parents kase, biro nyo, tatlong bogus receipts yun for P 17,000, 15,000 and 10,000 respectively. Just to prove na fake yung receipts, pinakita nung taga accounting yung actual reciepts nila. Talagang the receipts were fake. Di pa dyan nagtatapos.
The parents then showed some sort of permit or "proof" that the student did actually pay the said amounts for tuition for the last sem and the alleged projects. Turns out that the university does not issue these types of permits or "proofs". Tapos, napansin pa nung accounting staff na kausap nila na yung paper na ginamit eh halatang may border at ginupit lang, tapos yung signature was forged. Di pa rin dyan nagtatapos....
The parents, who I assume are a bit broken already and miffed, played their last card: "Ma'am, malabo po 'atang mangyari yan.
Just to check kung 4th year nga, tinawag ng accounting manager yung isang registrar staff to bring the records of this kid. Turns out that hinde pala 4th year yung bata, 2nd year irregular pala - at hinde pumapasok. Also, dun sa P 42,000 in total na hiningi ni mokong sa parents nya to complete the tuition and "projects", P 10,000 lang pala ang kailangan nung school - at ang binayad pa lang nung bata ay P 1,000.

July 21st, 2007 06:32 AM #24Aray.
