he's good. i read his book "war on terrorism in southeast asia." he was a professor at ndcp. unlike most academics, no airs.

he said Muslim rebel groups are seeking accreditation from Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (isis head)

kaya napunta kay Hapilon ang title na "emir" of isis SEA coz he's the most well known (with a 5 million dollar bounty as bragging rights)

matagal na daw nakaplano ang take over ng marawi

na-advance lang ang plano dahil pumasok sa marawi ang sundalo ng gobyerno

funny how a couple of tsikot people were mocking my posts (in this thread) in previous pages yesterday

    sablay naman posts nila

this goes to show that he already has actionable information as early as March, but think of the flack he would get if he had issued it then, not to mention the economic ramifications of the declaration.

the catholic church, one of his most vocal critics, is eerily silent. why? because one of it's own is held captive apart from the fact that its cathedral was razed to the ground.

placing mindanao under military rule is the single most decisive thing he did in his presidency.
yeah and after seeing one of their churches being trashed

coz one of the demands of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi for accreditation is they have to have control of territory

exactly like what isis did in Iraq

di naman pwede bundok at gubat lang

it has to be something like a city

also, they are not establishing their own caliphate. isis already declared that it is a caliphate. the maute, ASG, AKP, BIFF are trying to establish a wilayat or province of the caliphate. they call themselves daulah islamiyah wilayatul mashriq or the islamic state east asia division.

the monumental difference between al-qaeda and isis is that the former operates in cells, but the latter cannot exist without a territory.

yes the big big difference between isis and other terror groups is isis wants to create its own kingdom

while other terror groups just wants to bomb people to pieces

I beg to disagree its a panic reaction because he was caught with his pants down on a junket to russia

Martial rule is a course of last resort not the other way around. Look at the british govt, they have been attacked on several occasions already and they are still not in the mood to declare martial law. Precisely due to the ramification you mentioned

case in point: abu musab al-zarkawi, founder of isis.

in 2001, the central intelligence knew the exact location of zarkawi then head of al-qaeda in iraq and syria. it recommended to smoke him to smithereens but a guy named dick cheney got in the way. when zarqawi was killed in 2006, it was already too late. in fact, he was replaced by a more vicious abu bakr al-bagdadi, who appointed himself as the caliph.
Raw information is intelligence because all actionable or verified intelligence began from raw intel

MyPRES thinks otherwise -- “The avowed objective of the ISIS is to kill and destroy, period. Which is why I will destroy also and kill, period,” he said.
