    tanong lang sa mga may nakakaalam.
    pag nag absent ka ba the day before nung holiday ung holiday mo hindi babayaran?

    Sa pagkakaalam ko, kung arawan ang salary mo, hindi babayaran ang holiday pay mo kapag absent ka the day before tapos wala kayong work nung holiday mismo. but if may pasok kayo kahit holiday at pumasok ka, dapat double pay ka.

    am not a lawyer or cpa, pero kung absent ka the day before the holiday e dapat lang hindi bayaran ang holiday mo. charged to sick leave/vacation leave dapat yun. pwedeng babayaran ka pa din pero babawasan ang leave days mo since you are, effectively, on leave. kung ayaw mo mabawasan ang leave days then wala bayad.

    pano ung arawan? kasi ang salary namin binibigay every 15 days.... fixed ung salary per month, hinati lang sa 2 tapos babawasan na lang kung may absent ka....

    ah ganon pala un. absent kasi ako nung the day before the end ng ramadan. so wala bayad holiday ko? sayang, dapat nalaman ko kagad un.

    unfortunately, yes. if you were absent the day before a holiday, the assumption is that you would have been absent also on the holiday itself and do not get the benefit of being paid on both days. rule was established because a lot of people took unauthorized leaves around holidays.

    I used to customize timekeeping and payroll programs, medyo natatandaan ko pa naman kahit paano yung mga rules.

    Dapat hindi ka talaga babayaran kung absent ka the day before the holiday, pero yung ibang companies, binabayaran pa rin nila if naka file ng leave yung day before the holiday tapos paid leave yun, pero kung wala ka na leave credits wala na talaga.

    ganito din sa amin ..kung nag absent ka bisperas ng holiday , sorry ka wala na bayad iyon..kahit pa may extra ka pa na na credit sa VL/SL mo .or depende din talaga sa company

    +1 here. there are certain companies who give out holiday pay though...
