Agree. There would be some industries that will benefit from recession. One such industry is the personal care industry, specifically yung cosmetic sector. We supply the raw mats and ingredients for Avon, Splash, Belo, etc. Hirap kami humabol sa supply. One thing we noticed is that every time there is a crisis, sales of the cosmetics industry always goes up.

Used to be with intel. All i can say is the Cavite site is actually having a difficult time competing with the other Intel sites. Not only the Govt is to blame, sama mo na pati high electricity and utilities bill, yun mga nakawan etc etc... it all adds up to how much cost the factory is incurring to build and test a single chip. So business wise talaga mas profitable itransfer yung plant sa China and Viet. Pero on Intel's part di naman sila nagkulang sa emplyees, nag conduct sila ng job fair chaka mga talks about starting up your own biz... etc etc...
Pero syempre, sayang... One on the biggest semiconductor company in the world tapos since 1979 pa ang operation then bigla nagsara... sayang na sayang talaga.

Talk about the high cost of electricity in our country. Again, after salaries and wages, this is the next most expensive cost in running a factory.

Many years ago!

Ano daw? Nag-rerecruit yata para sa Vietnam plant. Rubbing salt to injuries ba ito?
