darating ng naka-wheelchair, tapos hinang-hina, di makapagsalita, then magpapadala ulit sa hospital... wish ko lang i-disect na siya sa hospital!

I think this sickness act is not only to avoid cross examination but is actually a move to lay the ground for his resignation. He will resign and use his medical condition as reason. This way he will say he was not impeached and that it was due to his sickness that he had to leave his post. Saves him the shame. And because of that, he will keep quiet for a while so that the issues against him and his family dies. But while in recuperating "KUNO" he will still use his influence to control the roll of justice in this land. Let us not forget HIS COHORTS ARE STILL AT THE SC.....and with the strong support the SC and the RTC gave him, am sure they will still be willing to work in his favor. We should not allow and accept his resignation. He should be convicted/impeached then immediately after, ombudsman should the appropriate cases against him and his family. We should also call for the resignation of all those SC justices who are in favor of CORONA. Oh by the way, MIDAS MARQUEZ SHOULD BE ASKED TO RESIGN AND START WORKING AS THE PERSONAL SECRETARY OF CORONA.

CJ to return on Friday: Cuevas
MANILA, Philippines - Chief Justice Renato Corona will rise from his hospital bed and return to his impeachment trial on Friday, according to his lead counsel, Serafin Cuevas.
Cuevas said he was able to talk to Corona at The Medical City intensive care unit where the chief magistrate has been confined since Tuesday.
He said he was able to convince Corona to return to the Senate so as not to give the impression that he had disrespected the impeachment court.
Corona's doctors have opposed the move because of the chief magistrate's delicate condition.
Cuevas said Corona's family is also against the chief magistrate's returning to the Senate to face the senator-judges. He said it was Corona who agreed to come back tomorrow to resume his testimony.
He said Corona will be required to sign a waiver absolving the hospital of liability once he leaves its care. Cuevas said he asked the hospital if they wanted to send a medical team on standby at the Senate in case of any medical emergencies.
Cuevas said the chief magistrate can talk but can barely move as he is still recuperating after a hypoglycemic attack.
Doctors earlier said Corona is being treated for possible acute coronary syndrome.
Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile has ordered Corona to appear in court by Friday, so the tribunal can rule by early next week whether to kick him out of office.
Corona bizarrely left the witness stand and checked himself into hospital on Tuesday after a three-hour testimony in which he denounced the landmark corruption proceedings as a personal vendetta by President Benigno Aquino.
His spokesman Midas Marquez later said during radio interviews that he had suffered a possible heart attack after the court hearing, during which Corona rejected a charge that he failed to declare $12 million in bank accounts.
