palusot ba? o yung ang totoo?

kasi pag pino-point out ng defense yung technicalities, sasabihin hindi naman daw criminal court yun kundi impeachment court.

tsk tsk tsk. whatever serves their purpose.

ano ba laman ng Article 2?
Article 2 claims Corona failed to disclose statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

    - kung titignan natin di ba dpat drop na ang article 2? since nailabas naman na ang SALN

Republic Act 910 provides for the retirement benefits of justices of the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.

If you look at Sec. 1 closely, it refers to justices who retire from the service due to age or disability, and with a minimum number of years of service rendered as a judge or justice. Those who violate it will likely be disqualified from receiving their pensions.

As for Justice Cuevas, he was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos to the SC in 1984. He resigned from the SC upon the ascension to the Presidency of Corazon C. Aquino in 1986. He's not a retiree.

I guess that should settle the matter.

Nope! Yan ang palusot, yun essence ng "disclose" eh hinde nailabas per se but kung tama ba at totoo yun sinulat niya doon sa SALN. At least that's what I understood about the disclose word

He never said if it was a pension being received from the GSIS (for retirees in the public sector) or the SSS (for private sector retirees). It could be the latter as I would imagine he returned to private practice upon leaving the SC, except for a brief time he was Secretary of Justice under Erap's cabinet.

300sqm BELLAGIO Penthouse bought 2009 is not mentioned in Corona's SALN. He claims he is paying amortization for it, but there is a Deed of Absolute sale.

    This will pin him down.

II. RESPONDENT COMMITTED CULPABLE VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION AND/OR BETRAYED THE PUBLIC TRUST WHEN HE FAILED TO DISCLOSE TO THE PUBLIC HIS STATEMENT OF ASSETS, LIABILITIES, AND NET WORTH AS REQUIRED UNDERSEC. 17, ART. XI OF THE 1987 CONSTITUTION.

2.1. It is provided for in Art. XI, Section 17 of the 1987 Constitution that “a public officer or employee shall, upon assumption of office and as often thereafter as may be required by law, submit a declaration under oath of his assets, liabilities, and net worth. In the case of the President, the Vice-President, the Members of the Cabinet, and other constitutional offices, and officers of the armed forces with general or flag rank, the declaration shall be disclosed to the public in the manner provided by law. ”

2.2. Respondent failed to disclose to the public his statement of assets, liabilities, and net worth as required by the Constitution.

2.3. It is also reported that some of the properties of Respondent are not included in his declaration of his assets, liabilities, and net worth, in violation of the anti-graft and corrupt practices act.

2.4. Respondent is likewise suspected and accused of having accumulated ill-gotten wealth, acquiring assets of high values and keeping bank accounts with huge deposits. It has been reported that Respondent has, among others, a 300-sq. meter apartment in a posh Mega World Property development at the Fort in Taguig. Has he reported this, as he is constitutionally-required under Art. XI, Sec. 17 of the Constitution in his Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN)? Is this acquisition sustained and duly supported by his income as a public official? Since his assumption as Associate and subsequently, Chief Justice, has he complied with this duty of public disclosure?

ung 2.1 and 2.2 ano pa ba nilalaban ng prosecution? kung titignan natin nag comply naman si CJ dyan

ung 2.3 di ba ito ung tinatanong eh included namna sa SALN nya ung condo

ung 2.4 pati parking lot as what Cuevas pointing yesterday eh sinama + ung mga properties ng anak nya sinasama sya eh to think ang pinag uusapan dito ung SALN lang nya , so pde rin bang sabihin na illgotten wealth ung properties ng anak nya? and also ano ba dapat declare sa SALN ung price na nabili mo or ung price ng zonal value or ung current price? which is which

But why did he say that he's willing to have his pension suspended if its not the GSIS pension he's talking about...

Impeachment against CJ Corona..
