from: Ojo! Corona didn't declare wife working in John Hay

Chief Justice Renato Corona failed to declare in several of his Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALNs) that his wife Cristina was working for a government-owned and -controlled corporation (GOCC).

Section 8. (B) states: "Identification and disclosure of relatives. — It shall be the duty of every public official or employee to identify and disclose, to the best of his knowledge and information, his relatives in the Government in the form, manner and frequency prescribed by the Civil Service Commission."

Cristina Corona starting working for John Hay Management Corp. in 2002. Then-President Arroyo appointed her chairman of this GOCC in 2007.

nagresign si Merci nun kasi loyal kay pandak, diba yun naman ang dahilan bakit gusto iimpeach si Merci nun, para ilaglag si pandak pero wala e, nagresign

is this true? any lawyer here? got this from facebook...

THE LAW IS CLEAR. Serafin Cuevas should cease and desist from defending Corona.

Section 1 of Republic Act No. 910 prohibits retired former Supreme Court Associate Justice Serafin Cuevas from lawyering for CJ Corona being a government retiree presently receiving pension from government.

Section 1 of Republic Act No. 910:

"It is a condition of the pension provided for herein that no retiring Justice during the time that he is receiving said pension shall appear as counsel before any court in any civil case wherein the Government or any subdivision or instrumentality thereof is the adverse party, or in any criminal case wherein and officer or employee of the Government is accused of an offense committed in relation to his office, or collect any fee for his appearance in any administrative proceedings to maintain an interest adverse to the Government, insular, provincial or municipal, or to any of its legally constituted officers."
