That will never happen in the Philippines, because we are too concerned about politics and how to bring down the government. When Filipinos look for jobs in the government, they look for positions kung saan malakas ang delihensya at kurakot, like the Bureau of Customs, Budget Office, LTO, etc.

They also mentioned that compared to some Asian cultures (e.g. Japan, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia) we Pinoys lack discipline, and that we are not frugal enough.
Compared to most Asian countries, there is TOO MUCH freedom in the Philippines. Sadly enough, we use that much freedom to self-destruct. If a country has too much freedom, the justice system must be swift, decisive, and efficient in order to prevent our country from self-destructing. But look at us now, we don't even respect the decisions made by Congress. Ibinasura na ng Kongreso yung impeachment and yet we still want to take the law into our own hands because everyone of us believes that our own opinion is always right and we are determined to waste all of our time to prove that we are right, instead of moving forward with our lives.

What I'm talking about is that Marshall Plan thing: we never received a single cent to rehabilite our infrastructure and economy immediately after WWII. If they even gave anything, which I'm sure they did, that was just a token. Compared to what they gave to Europe and Japan in the Marshall Plan, what they gave to us is peanuts. You might be referring to the aid that's being given by the Americans since the late 40's, early 50's. That Marshall Plan thing was drummed up in 1945 and given to Japan and Germany in 1947 and ran up until the mid-50's.

best way to determine how rich the Philippines is, is to determine how much money is being transacted or changed hands everyday both the official and the underground hehehe ...

baka magulat kayo, sa mga add-ons lang like emission test, drug test sa license at sa tsikot

perfect example: BF must be one of the most-hated government functionaries around.

but the thing is, i agree with him. and i hope he succeeds and moves on to higher office.

but filipinos just can't take discipline. since when was evicting sidewalk vendors from the streets where they DON'T belong, a human-rights abuse?
