sa tingin ko kaya nangyari ang World War II hindi naman talaga dahil ubod ng talino si Hitler at nakalusot na ipilit ang ideology nya for 5 dreaded years. i think nature allowed him to succeed para mabawas-bawasan ang tao sa mundo

and almost 70 years after, overflowing na naman ng mga tao sa mundo. mukang kelangan na naman ng great purge

same reason why the asian tsunami happened, sobrang dami tao nakikinabang sa coast lines ng indian ocean. puro beaches, vacations hotspots, puro fishing and harvesting marine resources para ibenta sa merkado. na-deplete na ang balance sa indian ocean. so what happened? nature reacted, konting fart sa ilalim ng dagat, linis ang mga coastlines

    =====

same thing with cars, nun medyo bata pa ako napansin ko bakit puros sedan lang ang gamit ng buong mundo bakit ang rare ng SUVs. ang ganda-ganda pa naman ng SUV, mataas, matibay at syempre it looks safer, lalo na sa mga paranoid people.

yun pala hindi lang ako nag-iisip ng ganun, madami din pala may gusto ng SUV. so lumakas ang demand SUV from America to Asia. nanganak pa ang SUV ng AUV. puros gas guzzler.

as a result, tumaas demand ng crudo as in almost all countries na nalulong sa SUV Craze. and so nature reacted, you forecast na tatagal pa reserves ng oil 50 years after year 2000, wala pa 2010 nagkakaron na naman ng oil crisis/shortage.

    kung iisipin ano ba nagbago?

kung noon 1993 pumapasok ka from house to Makati and you're driving a 1.3 or 1.5 corolla. syempre tipid tapos magisa ka lang. ngaun ganun din magisa ka lang sa SUV tapos may suv din sa kumander saka may auv/van school bus sila tsikiting. pero syempre hindi bababa ng 1.8liter mga tsikot. ang nagbago lumakas kunsumo pero same distance, same road, same elements.

now bakit kamo maraming tao nalulong sa SUV. bec. madami din tao lumobo. kung 10-15 years ago, ang average weight is 120 to 130 pounds, ngaun in na ang mga teenage girls na 140 pounds. kitang-kita naman sa embassy, ang dami teenage girls suot ng ***y pero lumba-lumba. add 10 years pa to their respective lives, and daily consumption of starbucks, chocolates and cupcakes. sigurado ang mga teenage girls na na fashionable 180 pounds minimum na. syempre pag ganyan kelangan ng SUV, kasi parang di kakayanin ng 1.3L car.

mga car manufacturers naman ayaw bumalik sa 1.3L or 1.4L cars, kasi that will mean magbaba ng srp. ang gusto nga nila tumaas lagi ang srp ng bagong modelo tsikot so kahit +.1 lang as in 2.0L 2.3L or 2.5L. daan daan libo justified increase nila sa SRP

with all of these as given, siguro may idea na tayo kung san tayo patungo. the great purge again, and then reset.

to summarize the point of ringostarr,

basically, everyone wants to live like Americans... consume like Americans...

Americans consume more of the world's resources than any other country.

But as other countries and people prosper, they will also start to consume like Americans.

The world simply can't support that kind of consumption.

The strain can already be seen in rising commodity prices.

We all need the same things. Food, fuel...

So we are all competing for the same things...

Supply cant keep up with demand...

If this continues, mag aagawan na ang mga countries,

Governments will always look after the interests of their people first...

They will secure resources for their people... at the expense of other nations...

If diplomacy among countries fail, there can be war.
