Puro complains, but what exactly have we, the privileged, been doing to help uplift our fellow countrymen and equip them with the knowledge to make better choices?

Or do you suggest that we go back to the ways of the Ilustrados, who clamored to keep the voting privilege only to the educated few.

sad reality lang talaga na mas madami yung uneducated na na-uuto ng mga trapo and political dynasty candidates (at itong mga ito naman tinatake advantage yung pagka-uto-uto ng mga nakararami) while us the privileged ay mas konti, we do something like reminding others to vote wisely like this thread does for example, we don't vote for those who we think doesn't deserve to be, and paying our proper dues and taxes to our community but sadly nga mas madami sila kaya nananalo padin yung mga di nararapat sa pwesto like si nancy binay and his father who most likely will be in power. nakikitang solusyon na dati pa is for everyone (or mostly) to be educated so people will put the right candidate in our government, pero yun nga madami nauuto di napprioritize ang education, kaya madami parin ang nauuto. may nabasa nako before dito sa forums somewhere na gusto nilang nakaupo/(church) na uneducated ang masses to keep them still in power. imaginine mo ang katwiran ni nancy binay kaya daw natatalo sa survey si risa hontiveros(i'm not for her for the record) ay dahil kulang daw siya sa pagmomotorcade???

Another Brillantes' idea shot down....Even PNoy disagreed with this hare-brained scheme.

    SC stops Comelec 'cash ban'

MANILA, Philippines -- The Supreme Court on Friday stopped the Commission on Elections from enforcing its controversial “cash ban” by issuing a status quo ante order against Resolution 9688.

The Comelec resolution, which prohibits cash withdrawals of more than P100,000 from ban accounts, is ostensibly intended to prevent vote-buying just before the May 13 elections. An amendment to the resolution on Friday also banned the transport of more than P500,000 in cash.

However, responding to a petition filed by the Bankers Association of the Philippines against the resolution, the high court, in the order issued by Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, said it “is necessary and proper to issue a status quo ante order.”

The order gives the Comelec 10 days from receipt of the order to comment on the BAP petition.

The bankers’ petition said Resolution 9688 “invalidly encroaches upon the jurisdiction of the (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) to supervise the operation of banks” and also accused the Comelec of overreaching its powers by deputizing the BSP and Anti-Money Laundering Council to enforce the cash ban.

The BSP had also opposed the cash ban.

I agree here. There are decent people who are more than qualified to be in service to the public but will just not do so.

Because it's the reality.

Ikaw ano ba ginagawa mo? Are you helping educate as much people as possible. Until political dynasties and pork barrel are abolished, pabalik-balik lang problema natin sa pulitika.

Yung amount ng OJT niya is the same as the utusan or gopher sa opisina...Will she do the same when she's a senator...as a utusan?
