I hope this is just temporary.

While their gripes where real, planting bombs in a populated area just to expose it is not the right way to do it. Then running out of your hearing causing further damage and chaos to the country just isnt worth an amnesty.

Gringo set the precedent and now people in the military knows they'll get amnesty doing something like that.

This MAgdalo group should just have formed a hitsquad and target the hoodlums in the military.

bad influence sa militar ung pagkaka release sa kanila

    bottom line:

that should have been the end of it.

The path traced by Trillanes, et al. is not without precedent.

If you will remember, the original king of coup de état in the PH is none other than Sen. Gringo Honasan. Rather than getting jailed for his numerous attempts to unseat the government, he and his merry band of adventurist solidiers got pushups and an amnesty from no less than then President Fidel V. Ramos.

The rest, as they say, is history. While the amnesty was pending approval in Congress, Honasan ran and won as a Senator as an "independent" (while he was really being sponsored by Juan Ponce Enrile, his benefactor and mentor).

Court releases Trillanes (Senator granted temporary liberty)
