Mukhang wala nang balikan ito, as far as Steve Rogers is concerned:

In March of 2007, as part of the aftermath of Marvel Comics' cross-over series Civil War, Captain America was apparently killed in Captain America vol 5 #25. Series writer Ed Brubaker plans to use this to write about the meaning of the character in modern times.

"What I found is that all the really hard-core left-wing fans want Cap to be standing out on and giving speeches on the streetcorner against the Bush administration, and all the really right-wing fans all want him to be over in the streets of Baghdad, punching out Saddam."

Marvel Entertainment Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada said, however, that a Captain America comeback wasn't impossible. The character's death came as a blow to co-creator Joe Simon, who said 'It's a hell of a time for him to go. We really need him now.' Marvel released a statement to Newsarama saying "Yes, Captain America, Steve Rogers, is dead," and that the Captain America series would continue with Rogers being deceased.

I am sadden! Ngayon ko lang alam patay na pala si cap. america. At d pa rin sya na revive ngayon(Sept 17 2007)! Captain America is my favorite heroes. Without any super power he still find super villains! And he alway be the leader of other super heroes! Sana babalik pa sya like superman! And have more power!
