E di maging 7102 islands na kasi hinati mo ang luzon.

The Suez canal was made because ships had to go around the Cape of Good Hope to get from europe to india and beyond. The canal in Panama was made because ships had to go all the way down to Las Islas del Fuego to go from the Atlantic to the Pacific. And you want this canal to do what?

the original objective was to minimize the floods along the byways of pasig river, in case a huge raincloud comes by again.

i am just wondering, if the same objective can be met, by simply effectively dredging the pasig? perhaps include a series of powerful pumps...?

The problem is exacerbated by the continued subsidence of Metto Manila.
