May 13th, 2008 01:41 PM #25i'd like to think that the recent earthquake is some divine intervention to knock some senses into these chinese officials
it's like telling them "if you don't change your ways, this will happen again in august! ... and guess where it will be?"

Wag naman tayong ganito... Madaming namatay sa earthquake (more than 10K) and we are saying its divine intervention... Its their country, let them do what they want with their immigration policies...

I wonder if there were any structures damaged in Beijing after that helluva quake. Especially sa Olympic stadium, the stands for the visitors.
Do you guys think there will be people canceling their plans to go to the Olympics for fear of more possible quakes?

good one, boydapa=)
while it is true that they can do whatever they want with their immigration policies, their methods are inconsiderate. their solution to limit Filipino entries is wholesale wiht no regard to their present status in china. chinese officials don't take the trouble to carefully screen visa applications based on the applicant's condition in the country. instead, isang solution nalang para sa lahat. It should have been a "case-to-case basis" di ba? I see the communist secretariat is paranoid again. Bad sign.Last edited by CtrlAltDel; May 13th, 2008 at 05:22 PM.

maybe it has something to do with the filipinos' propensity for joining democratic rallies, maybe they are afraid that those pinoys who will enter china during the olympics will join rallies staged during the games.
maybe they also want to limit entries of "filipinos only window shopping, no buy" and want to prioritize those nationalities who have lotsa mullah. it happens to the best of pinoys in malaysia, maybe the chinese have taken the hint from our bumiputra malay "brothers". since they are going to have fully booked hotels during the games, then they would rather have heavy spending guests at the same time.
it would be interesting to see the rest of the nationalities in the list, who are those other 44 countries blacklisted by the chinese.
