The problem is, in regards to the history of life, our current understanding is good enough that it won't be completely overturned by new evidence.
Just as Isaac Newton's Law of Gravity was proven "wrong" by Einstein... but still used, because it is accurate enough for general use.
Einstein's equations for gravity, via general relativity, have been proven, experimentally, and we use his equations every day (GPS transceivers have to account for time dilation due to satellite orbits), but these may someday be superseded by Quantum Gravity.
But they will not be discarded.
In Biology, natural selection and evolution through straight genetic inheritance is still true and still proves true...
BUT: we now know that you can have genetic transfer from viruses and pathogens, which allows genetic information to jump between organisms (a lot of our own genetic make-up is viral DNA... googling it... about 5%).
We also know that epigenetic changes can and do occur in adult organisms (i.e.: your DNA is altered after you mature) and these can possibly be passed on.
Neither of these mechanisms "disproves" classical DNA inheritance mechanisms or the general theory of "Survival of the Fittest".
There isn't a grain of salt small enough to fit the uncertainty we have over whether organisms pass on useful traits to their offspring, or that a species may change over time given the need.

Now if you're talking string theory, on the other hand... that may be overturned completely... as it is abstract, highly esoteric, mostly based on math that very few people can understand and lacking in concrete empirical data to support it. It's an exciting field, but not one we mere mortals can comprehend.
We don't. And we can't. If a church doesn't want to consecrate a gay marriage, government cannot force it to. That's separation of church and state.
I guess there will be some fringe of the movement who will want that, but the movement itself is NOT about forcing religions to conform.
To put it more clearly:
Catholics would NOT want to get married by an Imam in a Muslim Mosque.
So why would a gay couple want to be married in a Catholic Church by a priest who despises homo***uals?Last edited by niky; July 24th, 2017 at 10:38 AM.

July 24th, 2017 02:38 PM #43science is useless. 20 years ago there were so many excited in computer sicence. they took the course because computers will make our lives affordable. everthing will be cheaper food, things, cars, groceries coz all will be computerized.
nangyari ba? eh lahat mas mahal pa nga ngsun. pati parking lot na pinalitan na din computer
10 years ago, they said social media with mobile gadgets, will connect us all together and we will finally express ourselves without the divide. nangyari ba? eh sa facebook nga puro bashing saka fake news saka pretend na mayaman o maganda

let's just all face it. we are all put here on earth to compete with different sets of skills and emotions to clash. why did God make us this way and not the scientific way of all us the same, coz sicence is just another quest or game for us , another opportunity for us to clash.
nowm why did God create us to clash coz conflict is the true measure of a man's development, to stand tall against adversity and hopelessness. you do suicide you automatically go to hell kasi di ka makipag-clash, you kill or take advantage of someone, default ka kasi nag-short cut ka eh. there are rules too aka the 10 commandments that we must follow to prevent us from rsilroading pur path to success.
