Credit grabbing si Roxas. The BPO services already existed during Ramos administration and expanded during GMA's term...

I think many will find a lot of Bull Crap here...

    Roxas started BPO industry
    September 15, 2014

Do you know that it was Interior and Local Government secretary Mar Roxas who is the “father” of the successful business process outsourcing (BPO) industry in the Philippines?

The country has earned cumulative revenue of about $18 billion from BPO centers operating all over the Philippines.

Roxas initiated the establishment of the Call Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) when he was the secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

DTI henceforth worked on the development programs of the industry by supporting the needs of BPO members.

Roxas is optimistic that by 2016 the industry will have achieved its workforce target of 1.3 million individuals.

“This will mean additional job opportunities to our countrymen and will ensure a more stable Philippine economy,” Roxas said./PN

How about the cost of electricity in our country? This is one of the main reasons why a lot of the industries moved out.

Has anybody in the government been able to arrest this single, most-pressing issue?

No politician can do anything about it since the local oligarchs are making a bundle as power providers and don't want it to be turned off...

That is frustrating indeed since it should not be news to the government that the cost of electricity in our country is at the forefront of retaining and in attracting new industries.... These industries will fuel the growth of our economy... That our workforce, whether labor or professional for that matter, is highly competitive if not a notch higher vs. other countries,- is already an outdated belief. IMO, we already lost that advantage. Now, it is about getting the industries into our country and forever,- trapping them inside.

So, if any candidate out there has the solution for : peace and order, competitive cost of electricity[plus, ease of doing business], traffic situation,- iboboto ko siya....

Kurakot ?- sabi nga raw ng isang meyor,---- "huwag dakma-dakma,- kurut-kurot lang...."

of the 10 personalities in the list, only two who are really in the running now and have a good shot at it-- grace poe and rodrigo duterte. but then two who are not in it reared their heads and are battling it out-- binay and roxas. the probability is great that one of them will take the oath in june 30, 2016 as the 16th president of the republic.
