A tub of axle grease will cost you about 300 plus labor charge of 300 = P600.00
Madali lang po mag-repack ng front bearings. All you need are 2 sturdy jacks, 17mm socket or closed wrench, G.I. pipe 2-3 feet to prevent the hubs from spinning.

Thanks for the info.
Which is true?
Thanks.

Para mas makamura repack muna, kung andun pa rin yung tunog ng ma-ugong na bearing that's the only time you change all corners para sigurado.

October 3rd, 2003 06:56 AM #24Ungas,
Is there a special grease for wheel bearings? I've seen lithium grease with moly- is this better than standard lithium grease for bearings?

Bow po tayong lahat sa Bearing Guru. Expect din po yan sa greasing, I guess we could also call Ungas "Taong Grasa". :D
I'm sorry, I take this back. HIndi pala magandang pakinggan. "The Grease Man" would be a cool term.
Change bearing na alng ako. Nagpapa grease ako if I know bago lang yun bearing then nag lahar trails kami. Much2 cheaper outside the casa.

jackaroo::: Yes sir, there are a lot of grease types available on our market. Some are for high speed others are for high temp. Though I have not yet encountered grease with moly, I'm pretty sure it would be greater than without one.
Some opt for mineral based axle grease (black), while lithium based are colored red to maroon shade, which definitely lasts longer. Just don't use the food grade grease. :D
afrasay::: No offense taken.

ako i repack once a year kapag tapos na ang rainy season...
pero kapag nag off road ako especially lahar repack agad the next morning, lahar can damage your underneath sa badly...
guys wala pa bang kalawang pang ilalim ninyo?
kasi sa akin meron na, and to think lagi akong nag papa underwash after a lahar run...
kimpoy,
that may be, but we all got plastic, young and old. we asked the lto guy, "papel ba po, o...
