I used kerosene to remove my tar, pero ang hirap gamitin kasi maamoy na e bka magliyab pa, pag may nagsindi ng yosi sa tabi mo... :D

okay din ang detailing clay (soft99 or mothers) and its safer sa paint finish. you just have to lubricate the clay with a sudsy car shampoo.

Am not sure kung ok talaga yung Mc cleaner for the car, kasi sa computer pag tumatagal nagiging yellowish yung color ng computer. I use diesel to remove tar from my truck. OK and since it is oil based it leaves a shiny finish, ok pa sa kamay hindi matapang.
the reason it probably worked is because of the solvent + abrasive.
pag merong abrasive material like rubbing compound, MC cleaner or detailing clay, physical cleaning nagyayari - kinakaskas mo dahan dahan yung tar mark.
pag solvent naman, like diesel, kerosene, WD-40, and yes gasoline, chemical cleaning naman - tinutunaw nya yung tar. warning ko lang gasoline is too agressive - it will surely attack your paint finish or paint color whichever is weaker.
