you're welcome kikkomann and sorry about the blooper (eg. mentioning another shop's name).

another route: sa mga mas adventurous, kung galing kayong paranaque and travelling along osmena (aka slex), turn right at san andres st (may stoplight din ang osmena-san andres intersection which comes after zobel-roxas). (bale dadaan kayo sa railroad tracks.) sundan niyo lang ang kalye (medyo lumiliko to the left kasi). eventually mag-i-intersect ang san andres sa pasig line st.

mukha lang mahirap pumunta sa sta.ana pero actually madaming routes na pwede daanan. from magallanes to pasig line, kapag off-peak hours (kahit weekdays), in 20-30 minutes nasa shop na kayo ni kikkomann.

madalas lang ako mag-ikot-ikot sa metro.

anyway, good luck sa car painting business. sa paniniwala ko kasi, dakila ang mga may car painting shops. kadalasan ang taas ng expectations ng customers (sometimes, impossibly so) and, for the amount of work you put in, maliit ang margin. ang hirap pa mag-manage ng mga latero at pintor. puro advance lang ang maririnig mo.

^^^ Thanks chief. Though actually, hindi talaga ako ang mismong nago-oversee ng operation. Partners kasi kami dito (more on sa financial yung inverstment ko). And yes, one of the reason why I don't really go "mainstream" (read: online viral marketing and forum/bulletin board promotions and ads), is because napakahirap nga imeet ang expectations ng maraming customers. Lalo pa ngayon na napakaraming nagsulputan na n00b shops offering washovers, etc. Dinadaan nila sa flashy ads, pero pag pumunta ka sa kanila, iba ang nagmamando ng operation. Yung may-ari, walang personal touch sa business. Worse, wala or kulang pa din ang kaalaman sa negosyo nila.

Pero eto, I will share you a secret (or secret nga ba?):

Andaming nagooffer ng cheap washover. May mga nakikita pa ako na umaabot ng Php15K lang. Sobrang baba at enticing talaga. But what's the real deal and lowdown of these offers?

* Kadalasan, sa isang shop, by project or kontrata talaga ang pagpe-paint sa isang sasakyan sa pintor. Ranging from Php8-10K for a novice to a seasoned painter, Php14-16K naman para sa master painter talaga (ito yung tipong nagtrain or may special training na sa ibang bansa and yung tipong tumanda na sa pagpipinta sa casa). Yung mga nabanggit ko na price ang bayad sa pintor para pinturahan ang isang sasakyan- from prepping to final buffing.
* Ang isang gallon ng ordinary paint (RM, Nippon, Nippelac), Php2500 to 3K. Isama mo na ang basecoat, primer, body filler, top coat, sanding paper. Aabutin ka na ng Php6K. Acrylic paints pa lang ito. Sa Anzahl, aabutin ka ng Php10-12K; sa DuPont mga Php12-15K. Gallon of Anzahl is Php4 to 6K, DuPont is Php6-8K. Lahat ng ito, depende sa color and type of paint (metallic, pearlescent, etc.)
* Add mo pa yung other expenses like electricity, rent sa place, depreciation of your equipments due to wear and tear, etc. Siguradong mas mahal pa kung may oven-baked yung sasakyan.

You guys do the math. Paint for Php15K? n00b painter, ordinary paint, and possibly mediocre preparation. Heck, even for Php20,000.00, olats pa rin eh.

Actually sir a friend of mine who has a paint shop the cost of anzahl per galon is P1600
catalyst coat P 150 per can
thinner P400 per gallon
top coat (regular) - P 365+ per liter, top coat carshow P480+
primer (green sealer) with catalyst 295

One car usually uubos ng 3liters only for urethane kc makapit ang pintura so all in all konti lang difference sa acrylic paint. so possible ang anzahl washover for 15k un nga lang baka d sya totoong oven bake. pero kahit na ung expensive paint job like saclifford supposedly oven bake finish pero d naman talaga totoong oven bake equipment gamit nila.
