is it the gas prices? or shifting taste? 10-15 years ago the SUV craze befell america that even porsche made its first SUV to join the bandwagon and earn lots of money. but now the trend is shifting again, this time around towards crossover SUVs,minivans and fuel-efficient vehicles.

Sad State of SUV Sales and YTD % change in sales:

    Full size SUVs
    • Cadillac Escalade.....-8.6%
    • Chevy Tahoe..........-25.6%
    • Chevy Suburban.....-29.4%
    • Ford Expedition.......-25.1%
    • GMC Yukon............-28.7%
    • Lincoln Navigator....-7.5%
    • Dodge Durango.......+12.0%
    • Toyota Sequoia......-11.0%
    • Nissan Armada.........+42.4%

    Mid size SUVs
    • Chevrolet Trailblazer..-19.6%
    • Ford Explorer............-22.5%
    • GMC Envoy..............-25.5%
    • Mercury Mountaineer.-22.8%
    • Jeep Grand Cherokee.+2.0%
    • Toyota 4Runner........-3.0%
    • Nissan Pathfinder......+192.0%

the sad state doesn't seem to exist with Dodge and Nissan (their SUVs have been released more recently)

At least mababawasan na ang mga 'posers' who only buy rigs because they are 'fashionable'.

Nissan USA is offering those vehicles at significantly lower prices than its competitors. Believe me, their cars there are much more desirable than the ones we have here.
