January 1st, 2012 12:14 PM #841i recently bought a 2003 nissan frontier 4x2 with an a/t. The reason i got this is for my business. It's a tough reliable truck! I'm planning to keep it for as long as i need a hauler. Any tips to improve it's ride pag walang load? During my deliveries the ride is nice almost like my former pajero fm. Pero pag na-unload na yung karga ko grbe tagtag. Tire pressure is 30 psi. Magkano kaya leaf spring to shocks conversion? TIA.

bawas isang leaf then add load plus. mag-baon ka lang ng 2 pcs 19mm combi wrench. pag wala karga leave the load plus at its loosest, and just adjust tension when loaded. if you convert to "coil springs" you'll lose your hauling capability. hmmm, pwede rin pala convert to airbag suspension.

January 6th, 2012 02:40 PM #843what's a load plus? is that more economical than shock conversion? noticable ba yung improvement? also, pag nag tires like those installed sa mga cuv's would that help?

Another pick up lover joining the club!
*zeepey, tama si sir cydepx44, load plus ng iron man ang solusyon mo. pero kung under 1000kg lang niloload mo, say average of 500kgs and below, pwede ka na magbawas ng 1 leaf spring, yung pinakamakapal, instant lambot yan. I did it with my Nav, ok naman. Naghaul kami ng tubig from Manila - Bulacan nung recent calamity doon, medyo umupo lang ng kaunti yung truck pero no issues hauling. Keep your tire pressure at 30PSI pag walang load then bump it up to about 37 pang full load ka.

Kapag nagbawas kayo, lagyan niyo ng addt'l 5 inches long na leafspring ng mga big trucks para mataas pa din. Parang pang-lift lang purpose niya.
You won't sacrifice a lower rear height in that way. Bubutasan lang naman yun at ok na. Mura lang naman mga naputol na ganyan at marami sa mga talyer or junk shop.Fasten your seatbelt! Or else... Driven To Thrill!

Hindi ba titigas yung ride nun sir knowing na pang big trucks yung leaf na ilalagay? medyo mataas yata spring rate nya as compared to light trucks due to the weight and load capacity difference?
Actually, ang ginawa ko pala is binawasan ng isa (yung pinakamakapal - 2nd from bottom) and pinalitan ko sya ng pang DMAX na mas manipis.
