Its about the same considering the space at the back where the traditional entrance is located is now a seat.

If the goverment wants to revive a long dead program, they should put incentives for the manufacturer, mandate a law so that someone buys them to create a demand like PUV operators and put in subsidies to help them pay for those.

dyan talaga magaling ang pinoy, inuuna muna ang media saka government intervention, before presenting a prototype.
    haha

    tama

    lagi press release muna

the govt is now telling automakers what they should produce?

mas magaling pa ang govt people kesa sa mga automakers mag determine what cars and saleable?

the automakers should hire those people haha

here's the thing -- if there's demand for tamaraw type vehicles, the automakers would have already been producing them

di na kailangan gobyerno pa ang magsabi

why is it Mitsubishi still sells the L300?

    it's coz there's demand

    Ford opposes AUV, introduces Fiesta
    by Julito G. Rada

Ford Group Philippines rejected the government’s proposal to revive the local production of Asian Utility Vehicles, including the Fiera, saying it will not benefit the consumers.

“We want to introduce new products. We don’t want to go back and introduce old products that were known decades ago. That is not our plan and I don’t think that is right for consumers,” said Randy Krieger, Ford Group Philippines president, at the sidelines of the launching of a new car Monday evening.

The government earlier urged car assemblers to revive AUVs, like the Ford Fiera, Toyota Tamaraw and General Motors’ Harabas to spur growth in the parts and components industry in the country.

Krieger said it would not be a good business decision to revive old models while other car companies were developing new products.

“We want to introduce world-class products and technology around the world with lots of efficiency,” he said.

Ford the other night launched the Fiesta, Ford’s globally popular small car. “Fiesta is part of the small car segment, the segment which comprises 20 percent of Ford’s sales,” Krieger said. The model will be available in the market in October.

Krieger said the Toyota Vios, Honda Jazz and City are the Fiesta’s primary competitors. The Fiesta comes in two models—four-door sedan and five-door hatchback.

Ford Fiesta starts at a price of P670,000 for a 1.4-liter, four-door sedan with manual transmission and P685,000 for a four-door or five-door manual transmission. The 1.6-liter models with 6-speed automatic transmission, available in either sedan or hatchback, costs P766,000. The Ford Fiesta Sport variant, meanwhile, is priced at P816,000.

Krieger said he expected sales of Fiesta, which are assembled and imported from Thailand, to surpass those of the Focus models this year. Over one million Fiestas have been sold globally since its introduction over a year ago in Europe.

sabi ko sa inyo...bakit nga gagawa pa sila ng ganung sasakyan gayong yung mga current line-up ng mga sasakyan ay magaganda na?

gumaya tayo sa China na gumagaya sa Japanese technology and cloning of vehicles, only to patch a different brand.
