You can keep your stock motor and your chassis. You will need to buy a transfer case, intermediate shaft, and a solid axle along with new leaf springs that are of the proper length. The mounts can be grafted into your original chassis after all the angles have been set and trued. It's not rocket science but it does have to be done right. You'll need to see what your current diff ratio is right now so that you can match up the front. I estimate that you will probably spend about 25-30K on the surplus parts. Figure spending about 15K on suspension and steering component modifications and about another 15-20K for labor and miscellaneous. You will nd up with a very capable 4x4 with solid axles for about 65-70K. Not bad if you ask me. Of course, you will now have to spend for tires and other stuff that you'll want to get when you get really addicted to this activity. Good Luck.
