Isuzu Philippines never sold those models locally. AFAIK, only Kia makes a crew cab available in that class (K2700 series).

There are lots of (converted) imports. Some even have independent front suspension for greater comfort. There are also fully loaded units with a/c, power features, etc.

One thing I don't like is crew cabs are no longer tilt-cabs, making engine work a bit of a chore and the interior gets dirty in the process.

yes. hindi na sya na titilt. mabigat na kasi. if you dont need the open cargo space sa likod you can choose an FB body instead para mas madaming tao masasakay.

but if you need extra seating for 3 persons plus a cargo space at the back, the double cab is ideal for you!

I almost forgot this thread, my apologies to all.

I was told by a friend (who happens to be a mechanic) that Isuzu trucks aren't that tough as compared to the Canter trucks. In addition, spare parts are kinda expensive compared to its counterparts. Is there any truth on this or applicable only to the old models?

    *cuecraftsman: Thanks for the info.

*Benzmizer: I was hoping for locally assembled by Isuzu Philippines or other local assemblers we have in the metropolis. I'm not sure if I want to consider Japan surplus though since I'm not that expert in checking out how successful the "surplus truck" was converted.

    *xxxbox360: Thanks for the link.

*OTEP: Thanks for the info regarding the "tilt-cab" issue.

    Cheers!

try asking other mechanics sir kung ano comment nila.

regarding conversion: ang pinaka important po na hanapin nyo sir is yung "original, brand new, at solid" ang knuckle arm at drag link. i have pictures of that sa website namin http://www.truckista.webs.com/
