mga boss::: I took down my intercooler assembly to wash the innards of my 4d56. Now, i noticed that there was some dirty oil in the compressor turbine. What i did was just get a lint free basahan and i just wiped away. However theres still a lot of oil i cant get to. Any ideas on how to clean this?
I was tempted to use kerosene, to be blown through an air compressor. But i dont have a clue on how a turbo would react to such a treatment. Thanks in advance!

November 4th, 2002 01:37 AM #6Don't use kerosene. Bad as it will harm the oil seals.
Just take it off and lcean it manually, using WD-40 or other lubricants, and/or flush the oil out on your next oil change. I stick a compressor in the engine and flush out as much oil as I can for about 5 minutes.
