psych out mo na mom at dad mo. kamo, the e150 just looks big, but isn't too hard to drive...
Nice logic! I kinda like the way you put things in order! I was weighing on the Venture, but one thing I will lose are the captain chairs. E-150 would definitely fit in 8 persons but it won't fit in our garage. We will have to allocate another 30K to adjust our gates.

    ungas,

yup, masikip ang venture for 8 bulging adults. yung standard 4-seat 2nd row bench is tight even for three adults (kasi shaped for four very slim persons yung bench and the seat belt anchors get in the way), but if you convert the 2nd row to two captain's seats, magiging 7-seater nalang siya. actually, masisikipan ka sa kahit anong minivan.

check out the parts and fuel economy of the E-150, para totally informed yung decision mo... i'd think you're looking at 3.0-4.0 km/L in the city (regardless of what otep claims hehehe :D), considering we get 5.0 km/L with a 3.0L venture and 5.7 km/L with a 2.0L CR-V A/T.

teka second-hand ba o new E-150 tong tinitingnan mo? perhaps another alternative is to get a used Suburban (whether the previous or current model depending on the budget)... that would fit eight adults in reasonable comfort and their luggage and i'd imagine you or your parents would be more comfortable driving that, especially alone.

yung E-150 >5300 mm in length, more than 215 inches long. check mo rin yung versatility ng interior ng E-150... do the seats fold or are they easily removable? malaking negative kung hindi

8 seater talaga yung Serena. 7 if you get the optional rear captains chairs... pang pagulo lang talaga yung rear side facing jump seats. 8 peeps will fit pero magtatamaan kayo.

Kung sa space and power, hands down for me yung E150... bili ka nalang ng bagong bahay. :P My Tito gets 3-5km/l with his E150. Remember, this is heavier then the Expedition so it should consume more then an Expe.

Try doing some dealer-hopping to check out the prospects one by one.

Iregardless of brand new or second hand unit if we will be able to spot one that is still fresh in/out.

mbt::: How is the maintenance of your Venture? Where do you buy parts and have it PMS? Any other drawbacks from your unit or wish something that come as a standard?

RedHorse::: Read, same questions with your E-150 unit. (tamad mag-type ulit, hehehe). :D

vinj::: Buy a new house? Are you kidding??? That would be additional cost for one added vehicle. I wish we could do check and test drive each prospected target.

    ungas,

GM Shaw yung suki naming casa... the fully-synthetic oil drives the cost of each PMS upward. drawbacks: quality isn't up to Jap standards, although reliability in 16,000 kms has been very good so far, parts and service are limited, low resale value, the motor may strain in uphill climbs with a full load...

nasa mga 1.6M na ata yung brand new Ford Club Wagon/E-150, for that price, might as well get a suburban hehehe :D

mas comfortable pa rin ang E150 if you'll gonna seat 8 adults compared to suburban.

Medyo bago pa lang ang platform na iyan (kasabay ng mga Silverado at Suburban nagpalit).

Sa US ang bago lang sa kanya is yung front mask (which takes after the new Silverado and Avalanche) and the option of a driver's side rear door.
