isuzu npr (cateye)-6w 4BE1 so far ok pa, medyo mausok lang (over a year of service)

canter user here. We use them for hauling and delivery of LPG. We have 14 footer and 10 footer canters. all canters with 4d32 engine. We have not encountered major problem with them. Ang hirap maghanap ng pyesa since bago and di gaano marami ang dumating sa pinas from japan. BTW all our trucks were japan surplus.
We use to have elf with 4be1 engine.

June 17th, 2008 02:40 PM #16Hi guys! I'm thinking of buying a Fuso Canter truck with 4D33 engine. It is a FE507BT chassis series, Japan surplus, 6 wheeler. Load is about 2 tons per trip from Manila to Laguna and back everyday. Mahirap ba maghanap ng pyesa for the 4D33? Matibay ba ito for heavy load?
Gusto ko subukan ang Canter naman. Had a bad experience with the Isuzu Elf 4BE1, had the engine overhauled twice in 4 years.

June 17th, 2008 06:56 PM #17Billray,
If your load is only 2 tons, better get a 4 wheeler. 6 wheeler sakit sa ulo ang truck ban. Isipin mo truck ban na coding pa
Ok ang Canter. In my experience, mas matibay ang Canter vs Elf. My oldest Canter is a 1980's vintage, 88 or 89 if memory serves. Its still running. Had to change the cab and van 2 or 3 times and had it overhualed at least 3 times.

all my trucks are isuzu elf 4BE1. most of my trucks are 8 yrs old. japan surplus. havent experienced so much problems except for the clutch lining replacement and some leaks from the brake master and oil seals. Havent tried the canter, but I want to purchase several of it so i could compare it with my isuzu elfs. where do you recommend i purchase several units of it?

June 18th, 2008 12:49 PM #19Thanks Userfriendly for the advise. Malamang Canter na ang bilihin namin.
Samira, marami dyan along EDSA across SM North Edsa. I was referred to GLC Truck.
