*bluebimmer sir we give 1 yr warranty for our product iam been using it for 3-4months now. its been through alot when we were testing the product bringing the car everywhere its been in race tracks doing hot laps and we try to drag it to other cars highway driving and always WOT and city traffic in the middle of the hot sun the punishment this car has been through the brake pads of the car just lasted 4000km!!

after all that the car is still performing great giving smooth power delivery.

Turbo diesels are great bases for engine performance hop-ups. It is so easy to get 20 - 30% more power without major modifications. Diesel injection is one of the parameters often tweaked by tuners. There are 3 components (of diesel injection) that can be altered to deliver more power. 1. Injection timing, 2. Injection duration and 3. Injection pressure. The easiest but not the safest method is #3. More sophisticated programming and testing is needed to do #1 & #2.

Just remember a key monitoring device for these modifications is a pyrometer. The tuner should carefully monitor Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT). There have been instances when dangerously high EGTs are generated by the additional fueling (and there was no black smoke emitted from the exhaust). Left unmonitored, this will damage your turbo and your engine.

Where was DTec developed? If Europe, is it TUV rated? I saw the previous post and it seems DTec is employing #3 method for enhanced fueling. Remember, these add-ons warranty their devices NOT your engines. It would be great if we could also see EGTs vs. rpms.

MM - Based on the shared data and assuming a lot of other things are constant (driving style, ambient temperature, diesel quality, etc.), I think the DTec might give improved economy at part throttle on highway driving (almost constant speed). But it would be more diesel guzzling at stop and go conditions. At WOT, there might be no difference since the fuel rail pressure is the same.
