next time you ask if water can fuel an engine, get a bottle of mineral water and see how many calories it contains. ZERO.

ano ba???!!! have you not heard of the 1st law of thermodynamics? this law was not made by man. it is a law of nature, it was made by GOD! so please stop already!

Well... yes you can. It won't be practical, cheap, or pretty but doable. All you got to do is separate hydrogen from oxygen then burn the hydrogen. Simple.

The hard part is finding a catalyst that's fast enough to supply the engine with hydrogen, fits in the car's engine bay (you'll need the fuel, er..., water tank), produces more energy (re, hydrogen) than it consumes.

Heck, why burn the hydrogen? Rip out the internal combustion engine and fit the car with fuel cell generator and an electric motor. Your energy cycle would then be: water -> catalyst -> Hydrogen and Oxygen -> fuel cell -> power and WATER! Neat, huh?

    8^)

Itanong kaya natin sa ABS-CBN kasi tuwing tataas ang fuel prices, meron silang pinapakita na video ng isang pinoy running his car with water...he..he.he. Pero IMO posible siguro, naabot na ng tao ang buwan at na explore ang mars which noon seems impossible. Problema lang nyan kung may makainbento man nyan, sure tigok sya sa mga oil rich countries.

Then it is not "running on water" but running on hydrogen.

lets not start Dingle's so-called "invention" here. In fact there is a very long thread about that already.

Yes it is. Since the source for the hydrogen is water. 8^) I hope we're not going into a discussion of cold fusion...

Steam engine. Hehehehe... forgot about that. Anyway, that reminds me of the Stirling engine.
