The IPFs gave me light depthness that could probably reach 500m away. But it's not safe for the highways with counter traffic, too much glare for them. It is better used on secluded local highways, when you literally own the road. :D
On HIDs, I could say it's friendly towards oncoming traffic and at the same time give you the best lighting for city or well-lighted highways. Though the downside of HIDs are much closer with atleast 200m luminence only. Btw, HIDs are brighter compared to IPF.
I'll try to get some pix of the light pattern when the opportunity comes, I'm still searching for a dim lighted space.
