March 24th, 2004 10:26 AM #13tama yun, ome is old man. as for the everest being matagtag, leaf spring ata ang likod nyan, so matagtag talaga. try putting some weight na lang sa likod, a lot cheaper than buying new shocks. you migh also want to try the loadplus contraption, pero nasa 2700 plus na rin sya.
Oh, and i have has stock and shifted to bilsteins and shifted back to stock on my F150 (hiningin ng friend ko ang bilstein before i sold my f150) and if i was spending my own money, i wouldn't buy the bilstein kasi mahal masyado. pero since company sponsored naman ang shocks, first class all the way.

I now have Bilsteins in my Gen1 CR-V... naging matalbog yung ride parang ganun na yata sa 8seater Gen2. pero gumanda yung handling nya.
My bro has OME installed in his strada. sabi nya nagimprove yung ride feel.
Matibay Bilstein.. badtrip nga lang nagtaas na presyo ngayon because of peso inflation. Dati yung pang CRV nasa 22-24k ngayon 30k na!

Isang set na ba yung pang-CRV?
If de-leaf spring ba ang sasakyan mo what are some ways to make the ride smoother?

ungas,
would i really feel the difeerence between the stock shocks and bilstein? malayo ba from the sotck ride?
Malaki po ang difference ng stock liquid shocks against moonotube shocks of Bilstein. You'd have more control with your vehicle. Less body roll when overtaking.
Upgrading to new shocks will improve dramatically. But you will have to consider it is barely new compared to stocks which probably served half of its service life. Whether OME, Bilstein, Koni, Rancho, Monroe or even KYB, new sets can be felt as soon as it is driven off the store.
Adding load to the rear leaf sprung suspension can and will improve ride comfort. But adding more leaf or add-a-load aftermarket clip-ons will not help in terms of comfort ride, load carrying ability will only improve. OEM shocks are mostly liquid types, so there's no other improvement on it. Switching to after market gas pressure shocks will just worsen the scenario. You could remove the overload spring for more comfort but load carrying ability will also be lessen.

yun na nga po leafspring, ok lang naman siya if may load, pero minsan kasi like 7 kaming nakasakay matagtag talaga, sabi ng kapatid ko baka madaladala siya if palitan ng shocks.
do you recommend ba OME? ngayon alam ko na yung meaning, hehe tnx sir jeepcruizer.
