On newer systems, if the problem is intermittent or resolves spontaneously, the light will go off but the event will still be recorded in the ECU. You need a scan-tool to retrieve the codes.
Take note that the codes cannot tell which part needs replacement. It just tells you where the error is occuring and sound mechanical judgement is still needed to diagnose the problem (ergo, you need a very good technician). Sometimes, it's just a loose wire or a faulty sensor. Check the little stuff first.

July 10th, 2009 08:04 PM #22Pasali ako, I joined this forum kase kailangan ko ng magaling na '95 Big Horn Mechanic. Nagpa ayos kame this year sa Servitek Congressional.
Eto yung mga pinagawa ko:
1. Nung Feb may pinalitan, brake pads ata, kase malalim na daw yung preno. Inayos din yung Idler Arm, Suspension Arm Bushing and Upper ball join.Nag pa align na rin kame.
2. Last month wiggly yung manibela pati yung takbo nya, duda ko baka may lumuwag dun sa ginawa ng mekaniko. Meron nga. Pati kailangan na ring mag palit ng 2 gulong.
3. So pinapalitan namin ang gulong at nag pa align na rin, tapos sinikipan nya yung sa Bushing etc, basta may parang screw pa kaming binayaran ulit eh.
4. We were also advised to have our Master Brakes changed, kaya lang wala silang mahanap na part for our car. Then when we spoke to the mechanic, hydrovac daw ang importanteng palitan kase tumitigas daw yung preno.
5. Just this week nagpapalit ulit kami ng remaining 2 wheel kase na-pako, hindi na raw kayang ayusin according sa vulcanizing shop.
Tapos kanina nung ginamit ko parang wala na naman sa alignment eh maingat naman ako sa lubak. Parang maluwag yung manibela so kanina ti-nry ko diretso yung manibela tapos binitawan ko. Grabe ang tigas as in hindi ko na maapakan yung brakes, buti na lang mabagal ako at walang sasakyan sa paligid.
That's why I need a very good and honest mechanic, duda ako sa Servitek parang kung kelan kami nag start mag paayos sa kanila saka nagkaron ng mga ganitong problema.

symptoms:
1.. habang tumatakbo, biglang mawawalan ng hatak, tapos mamamatay (parang walang gas)
2.. pag reset ng keys, start agad..
3.. pag check sa pitpump, may hangin.. (bagong palit po yan ha)
4. sa injector na kaya ang problema??
