One of the problems with Kia back then (during my Besta days) is that they do not really take care of the unit after it leaves the factory. Ayun nakabilad lang sa araw. Yung mga wipers nasisira as well as yung ibang rubber parts. Pati pintura nawawala ang kintab (dadaanin na lang sa buffing prior to delivery).

I was at their stockyard once (wala kasing mahanap na piyesa, sabi kahuyin ko na lang yung nasa stocks!). Nakabilad lang yung mga units. What's worse, puro talahib and moist ang lupa (risk for rust?).

Yung unit ko puro lupa, talahib at putik sa ilalim nung makuha ko. Daig pa nag-offroad. Pero ang katawan, shiny-shiny! hehehe.

ok sorry mikey.... ndi pala 100 mph.....but 100 kph pala. hehe... mali na type ko....so far top speed na drive ko sa starex ay 115kph-120kph lang....ndi na bibilis pa....and to think may turbo pa yun a...

peeps share ko lang experience ko sa inyo regarding my kia carnival .....sabi kasi ng mechanic sa kia marikina nung pinagawa ko yung rack & pinion ko 1 out of 3 lang daw ang hindi nag-leak pagkatapos gawin, ibig sabihin palpak daw ang mga steering assemblies nito....narinig ko na rin to sa ibang mga owners....ang ginawa ko nag-email ako mismo sa Kia motors korea! tapos eto nag-email sa kin yung National Service Advisor ng Columbian motors.

Yung carnival and the latest sedona, the dashboard is different, the sliding doors mechanisms are also different. Sabi daw ng kia that the sedona is based on the US version, while the carnival is the korean version, so the sedona is more durable than its predecessors. But other than the above, tingin ko pareho lang ang underchassis nila, so should be the same steering system?
Had korean guests last week. Sabi niya yung Sedona ko is Park 1 daw sa Korea, and its a Carnival there. He used to own a Park 2 before he sold it daw that's why he knows.
