BIGHORN parang BIG and HORNY. hehehe. Corny talaga mag-english ang mga Hapon. :D
I'm saddened by this event. No matter who was at fault we still cannot erase the fact that a child died due to the combination of bad circumstances.

Yung sinasabing 'check' ng LTO is meant to kill the importation of ex-JDM vehicles. Bawal ang baligtad ang wiper and bawal ang nasa kaliwa lang ang sliding door.

one thing after this emission testing is i think is the "MVIS" or motor vechicle inspection system, (please correct me if i am wrong) vechicles that will undergo emission testing will be at the same time be inspected for its roadworthyness, e.g. are the gauges, signal lights, brakes, body condition etc. from a heresay it will be implemented next year. sana mabawasan din ang mga sasakyan na may cause accidents due to negligence of the owner...

August 8th, 2003 04:09 PM #38Sa Germany the TUV handles inspection on all vehicles, aside from other things that they inspect. Sigurong parang yung MVIS nga. Everything is checked. Sana ma-implement din dito. Kaya naman natin mga Noypi na sumunod basta patas ang application ng batas and maayos ang sistema.

TUV handles everything from computer monitors to car parts. Hindi sila centered sa motoring. Related din ata sila sa DIN (German industry standard) whose most famous work is the size of today's head units (single DIN, double DIN, etc.).

August 8th, 2003 06:22 PM #40One of the five main business of TUV is mobility and transport.
See http://www.de.tuv.com/germany/en/products/index.html.
They actually started out testing & certifying boilers during the industrial revolution in Germany!! And now they are into almost everything like what you said, computer monitors to car parts. Just got the idea coz when I was there 2 years ago my friend's car had to go to the TUV shop for testing before he registered it.
considering a Ferrari has an average price range of 20-25M. multiply that with 666 units sold then...
