Yet if you get into a car crash, even at moderate speeds, chances of getting killed is pretty high. Compared in a modern car, you'll just probably walk away from the same accident without a scratch.

anyway in city driving lang naman po sir, and with it's old school diesel engine and traffic in metro you won't be able to speed up. also 60-80kph speed is freakingly fast in a jeep (feeling mo around 100kph na ang tinatakbo mo). anyway, back to reality this won't happen.

first of all, wala nang paglalagyan sa garage, second wala rin naman cash pambili (or even kung meron man, why would I waste it to buy a OTJ samantalang madaming ginagastos na iba), third not practical to own one if you already have a vehicle.

How about the "other" vehicle? You might not be going fast but can you say the same for the "other" vehicle?

Sitting in a box made from thin gauge folded steel without any crash worthiness can be worry-some experience.

Still following the old jeepney body, slapping a isuzu diesel engine and then using surplus suspension parts...Only added safety is probably surplus safety belts. I wouldn't call that "modern", better word for that is "stuck in time". There are far safer alternatives of public transport mode that can replace the jeepneys.

Now that's more like it! Why is it that when the provinces gets these new designs, the jeepneys in Metro Manila, even the newer ones, still look the same? I think now is high time for a change...
