What incentive can you give when there is no/low demand for "improved native vehicles?" With one of the major reasons will be cost. Any improvements will always increase the cost of the vehicle, especially given the low volumes it will sell.

Malaysia tried to build a artificial demand before with local based Proton. They locked out their car industry from foreign competition. Unfortunately Proton was based on mitsubishi cars, which were also producing lemon cars that time. Proton cars were poorly built. Malaysia was forced to open it's auto market later due to foreign pressure.

I like this one. Actually, I want to have an owner type jeep myself, pero sana yung medyo modern nga ang dating niya, not the classic ones.

what's stopping you from buying one?

coz you can't find a "modern ang dating" OTJ to buy?

then ask someone to design a "modern ang dating" OTJ for you

    have one built

why dont you create your own design tapos pagawa mo sa kanila. If you really want modern then invest more money.

"uls" is not the one clamoring for a "modern" jeep design. You are the one, so why not YOU throw your money into investing?

    teka lang

    hindi ako advocate/supporter/cheerleader ng jeepney/OTJ

    i don't care if jeepneys/OTJs become extinct

    IKAW ang advocate/supporter/cheerleader ng jeepney/OTJ

you're the one who wants to "improve" and make "modern" the jeepney/OTJ

so IKAW ang mag labas ng pera

    hindi ako

my money can be utilized in other ways that are more useful to me

i would never waste my money building a native motor vehicle
