July 20th, 2011 02:48 PM #1Hello, I'm planning to buy a new car and sell my old one (Mazda 3 2007). We'll have a new kid on the block and having a bigger car is I think a good idea.
Can someone give me a suggestion of which car or family car is better to have. A family car that will fit my budget of 900K to 1M and with a specs of 7 seater, with air bags, diesel (as much as possible), etc.
Thanks in advance. ;)

Nissan Grand Livina (Gas only, 1.8L) or Toyota Innova (gas and diesel, 2.0 to 2.5L) would be my top choices. The GL is car-like and comfortable, but smaller. The Innova is spacious but is a harsher ride. These two would also be the most "fashionable" if you are particular about looks.
I'm attaching some pricing for various rides for your comparison... all would have at least a seven seater capacity and is roughly within your budget (added a few up to 1.1M+ for comparison purposes)

Innova and Kia Carens are worth the look. Grand Livina if you're booting in a gas model.

July 21st, 2011 03:39 PM #6Thanks guys for the info.
Also, thanks to digitalron for the list of cars and their prices... 2 thumbs up
Right now I'm thinking on getting one of the following:
Grand Livina Elegance 1.8L A/T Php 978,000.00
or
Fuzion GLX Gas A/T Php 950,000
I forgot, my wife will be the one using the car, not really me... hehehehe...

Do anyone have an idea of the pros and cons between the two? I'm more on the cons para kung alin mas heavy ang cons i will not get that.
Thanks I'm really not into cars thats why wla ako idea.

I can't believe I forgot to mention the Kia Carens as also quite a good consideration (doh!), and it is a diesel, and much more spacious than the GL.
Kia Carens Pricing:
Carens 2.0L LX MT CRDi - ₱ 1,050,000.00
Carens 2.0L LX AT CRDi - ₱ 1,100,000.00
Carens 2.0L EX AT CRDi - ₱ 1,195,000.00

Re GL versus Fuzion: the Fuzion has a 2.4L monster of an engine that feels sluggish, probably because it's much heavier than the Livina (ny half a ton by my estimate, lol). Also, your wife might find the Livina easier to drive and park ;)
