Same sentiments here. Sayang talaga that our ingenious builders here didn't take the opportunity before, mahusay tayo dyan

A revival would be one of the best things that can happen for this legendary 4x4. In fact I bet we can do better engineering and reinforcement than the manufacturer.

The design of the Delta Mini Cruiser is still okay. It has the right size and has good proportions. Not as big as the Wrangler type jeep. The length of the hood is just right, unlike the long hood of the Wrangler. And the Mini Cruiser has better headroom than the normal OTJ.

What if someone were to build a Delta Mini Cruiser today? Same body but based on a shortened Isuzu Crosswind chassis with an Isuzu diesel engine. Will it be a good alternative to the Suzuki Jimny?

    Yes, I think so.

The Delta Mini Cruiser still looks good to me. I remember those Ramon Revilla Sr. movies showing the Delta Mini Cruiser and Owner-Type jeeps used by Imus Production, Inc.

The Daihatsu F20/F50 was produced in the 70's was powered by the 12R Engine, may have some influence on the Delta cruiser design:

Daihatsu's majority owner is Toyota, so you can see some similarities in design and parts usage.

The predecessor of the F50 was the F10 which was relased in the 70's and was called Taft, it was powered by a 958cc engine. So sad, that very few Daihatsu vehicles were introduced here:

Nevertheless, the Delta Mini Cruiser, was one indigenous 4X4 vehicle which we should have capitalized on, developed further (perhaps a diesel version could hve been introduced), mass produced for export and for our local consumers. But like everything else in this country, we squander our gains.

Pilipinas One step forward, Two steps backward. haaay...
