So far the semi-synth brands i usually see around are Shell and Castrol. The Castrol is sold at True Value.

Meron bang Mobil1 semi-synth? Kahit di naman 20w50, anything sa range na 15-20 W 40-50

May 27th, 2004 09:55 AM #4Mobil 1 is full synth... But either way (synth or semi synth), its still adviseable to change oil every 5K given our traffic and weather conditions.
Oks yung price range ng CAstrol na semi-synth sa True Value IMO.

if you're just into normal driving, regular mineral oil would suffice as long as change your oil not longer than 6 months or 5k km.

May 27th, 2004 05:32 PM #6IMHO, Castrol Magnatec, semi-synthetic is good. Got it at SM hardware for P1,099. Been using it on my Civic on my last two oil drains. ;)

Mobil super S 10w40- about P250/L
Castrol Magnatec 10w40- about P230/L
Top1 20w50- about P220/L
IMO, go full synth or plain mineral oil.
You save about 25% if you buy in bulk, ie, a box of 12L or 6x4L from an oil distributor.
