Upholster of ceiling...

guys saan ba pwede magpa upholster ng ceiling? ride is lancer itlog (EL lang po) gusto ko sana yung ceiling same material (letherette) nung sa sidings. hirap linisin kasi ng ceiling and i usually travel with windows rolled down (mahal ang gasolina so off ang AC). any idea magkano aabutin yon ?

it will cost you around 5 to 8T, medyo mahirap nga lang coz mag iiba looks ng ceiling mo. They will have yo use wires across your ceiling to hold the leather. D kse pwede i rugby yun shape ng mold ng ceiling gugusot sa sides... Sa mga uphlstery shops gumagawa nyan, bantayan mo lang maiigi.... goodluck

Nag-inquire ako last weekend sa Seatmate (along Marcos HIghway Cainta). They said they do ceiling upholstery as well. Bisitahin mo na lang sila para mag-inquire. They have a shop in Mandaluyong as well.

Nagawa ko na yan sa 323 ko dati. DIY lang lahat. It costs me about 1.1k 5 years ago. Leatherette, foam and rubber cement lang ang major materials. You won't need wires if your ceiling's made of molded fiber composite.

The foam's great for insulation, ala kang maririnig na tunog ng ulan sa bubong. Salamin lang.

It lasts til the time I sold the car, tuwang tuwa yung nakabili.

Advise ko lang, don't pick too dark of a color. Dumidilim ang interior ng car, unless you've upgraded your interior lighting already.

tama si Sync3, gugusot ung gilid. But the slight folds on the edges were acceptable to me then, given the money saved.

But if you want perfection, go for the specialty shops.
