My Fortuner is already at 4,900 kms. on the odometer and it is already 6 months old. When should I have it serviced? It should be every 5,000 kms or every 6 months, whichever comes first, right?

The unit was acquired in August 31 (2006), and it had its first 1,000 km. check-up sometime in mid-October.

    Here's where I get confused:

When should I start counting for the six months? August 31, or mid-October?

Or if the the odometer/mileage comes first, should I start counting after the 1,000 kms? Or kasama na ba yung first 1,000 kms sa every 5,000 km check-up?

here is my take...since bago pa yan, dun ako sa 6 months before yung kilometers. and since 100 kms na lang eh 5000 kms na, pwede na din yan. your existing odo reading which is 4900 kms can be already equal to 5000 kms considering may mga traffic kang dinadaanan.

your six months should be february 28, considering you already used the vehicle september 01, 2006.

    imho.

Assuming my odometer reading comes first, kasama na ba yung first 1,000 km sa pagbilang ng every 5,000 kms? So the check-ups should be at 5T kms, 10T, 15T and so on? Or kung hindi, it should be at 6T kms, 11T, 16T?

    Thanks.

How about the 6 months thing? Where do I start counting? From the date I bought it (Aug 31 2006)? Or from the date I had the 1,000 km check-up (mid-October)?

If I were to follow this, would I be due Feb 28, 2007 (lampas na!) OR mid-April?

Napagwari ko lang dapat ang tsikot natin may running hours na metro katulad ng generator set namin dito sa planta, mas magandang basehan to ng maintenace schedule kesa sa km reading, pero meron pa ding km reading for underbody parts maintenance

Every 5,000 kms. --> Let this be your guide.

Para wala nang problema whatsoever. Your car will appreciate it. Mabilis ka naman ata maka-5,000 kms.

    5,000 kms = average of 3-4 months.
