^a higher displacement (3.0li - 1KD-FTV) engine in a light body (ie. Innova) should consume less fuel than the (2.5li - 2KD-FTV).
The Fortuner 3.0V may seem to consume more fuel than the Fortuner 2.5G bec. the 3.0V has a heavier body bec. of its 4WD system. The Fortuner 2.5G is lighter bec. its only a rear wheel drive (2WD).

Fortuner engine is compatible at less hassle kasi almost the same ang mounting ng engine ng innova provided it is VVTi to another VVTi and D4D to another D4d wag otherway kasi papalitan pati fuel line mu pero why change the engine??
