guys, need your inputs on these,
our adventure 2002 diesel has around 53k mileage. and last change oil sa casa, the agent told my dad na pwede na palitan yung timing belt nung sasakyan, my dad asked yung price sabi ng agent more or less 15k daw.
Guys, watcha think? is the price reasonable? ganun ba talaga kamahal yun?
TIA. good day earth.
and also, maingay na kasi timunog yung makina from what ive noticed pero ok naman, guys ano kaya problema nito?

April 29th, 2007 09:27 PM #2from my point of view.. its really expensive.. considering that your engine is almost the same as a TDIC starex,, i mean i changed my starex timing belts, tension bearings and oil seals and the parts cost less than 4000.... so add 1000 or 1500 for labour its still way less.. by the way the belts i used are original hyundai belts but are made in japan.. got it from good gear.. the replacement belts are even cheaper...i did use a mitsubishi L300 original replacement belts before but the smaller belt broke in less than a year,. so ever since ive use only hyundai original timing belts... just a thought....

sir, ano code ng engine nyan? same lang sila ng engine with adventure98 diesel? my uncle's adventure had recently change its timing belt (set) including seals.. it cost him around 7k din ata, OEM belts ginamit

sobrang mahal naman nyan! shop around, for sure, you'll find price lower than that. for my FB, it less than 2t. there's even one, replacement for D4BX hyundai, its 850.
