what's wrong with sticky viscous belt fan?

I compared two same vehicles, when I turn off the engine, the belt fan still spins, while the other vehicle stops spinning immediately after turning off the engine.

should the fan locks up despite the engine is still cold?

The fan should lock when the engine is hot. If it's always locked or never locks, there's a problem.

AFAIK, silicon oil lang katapat nyan. Auto shops would know what this is.

patakbuhin mo ang makina....at idle speed and at running temp., not cold...

using a thick slipper, try mo pigilan ang fan.. kung huminto/napigilan mo, then yun ang sign...dagdagan mo ng oil..

pag lumaban yung fan pag pinigilan mo, means ok siya

no probs removing the fan. done it many times. it's the fan disassembly I'm worried. unchartered area pa yan sa akin. buti na lang you have a documentary with pics.
