it could last longer than the the usual copper plugs. i use bosch platinum, said to last up to 10,000km.
I used the plat version of my BKR6E's before on our Sentra... no difference really and after a while, i switched back to copper plugs since i normally prefer changing every 10,000kms.It's justa matter of preference on whether you just want to keep the plugs longer or not.
Why don't you try NGK G-Power Platinum?... sa experience before ok siya saken, last longer than the usual,.. umabot saken ng 1 1/2 years (inilipat ko pa sa van namen and the performance is ok parin, no fouling. About less 15k mileage nung pinalitan ko. Around P160-170/plug.
...Just my little 5 cents. :D
maganda talag NGK or BOSCH. dpende na din kung anong type of engine...
Kpag mahal spark plugs mo sana di faulty engine at wlang singaw vavle seals.. gud luck!
I got platinum plugs for almost 5 years now and still going strong. And those are the cheapest platinum plugs that you can bought in the market. MPG is still the same since I replace the plugs and no decline in performance so far.
wow tagal na platinum mo lakay sulit na sulit na yan, NGK g-power platinum ang pinakabit ko. so far ganoon pa rin performance hindi nagbago compare sa regular ,one click start parin, during cruising same din performance all stock kasi engine( only mod grounding wire) siguro makakatipid lang ako dahil sa matagal ang palit ng spark plug insted of every tuneup every year nalang.
mahal pati,.. almost double (or maybe double nga) the price than the regular plug.Originally Posted by speedyfix

NGK's are a good brand they are original spark plugs on most vehicles. If you do decide to use platinum plugs make sure you unscrew it and screw it back in and from the engine every 15,000km so that it doesn't freeze or become one with the cylinder head. Having it tightened on the cylinder head for 5-7 years can cause the plug to be seize on the head.
ordinary NGK BKR5E, BKR6E usually cost about 85 per piece
platinum NGK, or G-power usually cost about 150
bosch platinum cost about 140
actually if you do your regualr change oil and tune up ... there is no difeerence is you ask me ... pero platinum has a bit longer life span and has a better kick even matagal na siya
yung iridium naman mahal sobra ... pero they say it has better performance ... for me i think its not worth it just make it a habit to tune up your cars
denso naman they say has a better kick ... pero not sure if it is the same for all cars ...
banawe a/s
regy
some cars like cefiro namimili ng spark plug usually gusto nito platinum .....
have to check my plugs na.
almost 3 yrs na rin ata ndi napapalitan.
pero from my last check/oil change
malinis naman at kulay pula yung tip nya.
