Some say its good some say its corrosive... Tried it before sa 97 corona ko ok naman... but never try it in our innova... better safe than sorry

have tried using E10 once, pero lumakas ng onti ang FC ko.
i don't think its corrosive, for it only has 10% alcohol. and based on the mechanic that i've talked to before, ok yan sa vehicles na EFI starting 1998 upwards.

    imho.

Yup ethanol blends tend to yield much lower fuel consumption levels as compared to straight gasoline. Read in Car and Driver that it would be at around 80% only versus pure gasoline.

ooppss.. if thats the case parang wa effect din pala,, kse base sa ibang comment E10 increased their fc, plus smoother ride daw.. madamage kaya engine ko pag nagtry ako ng e10? just to observe lang its effect on my ride..or should i mix it 1st with other fuel ( petron XCS )..

it really offers a much more smoother ride, because the fuel lines are cleaned of the fuel residues.

hindi naman madadamage yang engine mo if you decide to try it the first time.

beside sa low fuel cost (can get P40.81) sa gas station samen

    corolla 97 efi

If ever there are any effects (i.e. corrosion to your fuel lines), that will come out later on... even several years down the road.

actually, tingin ko yan ang kulang dito sa atin eh. medyo kulang ang information regarding usage of the ethanol-based fuel, regarding short and long term effects on the vehicle. i've tried visiting the site of Shell Philippines, pero they are mum on this. i have also done research on the manufacturers pero wala din akong makitang clear answer. i even tried sending some emails to the car manufacturers but i have not received any reply from them on this.

ang meron akong nakita are some overseas studies with regards to the use of the 10% ethanol based fuel, which, they don't see it as having some harmful effects on the cars. but it could be different daw because some components would have to be corrosion proof, if cars that are going out would use ethanol-based fuel on more than 10%.
