Here's the problem, my car is at 19,944 kms but I really need to use it this weekend. Though I won't be travelling far. When I get back home it will have 20,100 kms max. Is it OKAY for me to do this?

you have two options, have it tuned-up/changed oil now or you can do it when you get back.

imho, wala namang ganung difference yang konting excess of kilometer reading...

if ever you take option 2, just make sure that you have it tuned...

Every 5000...chg oil, tune up every 10thou or as recommended by the manufacturer. Pero ok lang na sumobra ng konti or kulang ng konti, e.g. 4,800 - 5,200. Di naman kelangan eksakto.

You can do it either before or after your trip. But, if I were in your position, I'd do it before the trip. Just to be sure that the vehicle is in tip top shape. Especially in out of town trips wherein parts are scarce.

d nman strict yung rules na yun e, actually its a guide. its you who decide kng kelan mo "change oil" or "tune up".

in my case, i do every 4K ang change oil ko then tune-up ko every 2 changel oil.

what's important here is me regular change oil at tune up within the range nun guidelines.

kng malayo, change oil at tune up kna muna kng d nman pde na pagbalik mo.

    opinion ko lng po ito..

On my part, kapag medyo malayo ang biyahe, tune up to be sure lalo na kapag kasama mo pamilya mo. mahirap mag-take ng risk lalo na at abutan ka ng problema on a remote areas na walang masyadong tao. Better be sure than sorry. Anyway if it can be done now, why later?.

I agree our neighbor does this every 5,000 kms ang change oil and tune up every 10,000 kms as well pero hindi naman niya often ginagamit yung car niya when I look at his oil malinis pa hindi pa siya itim...In short sobra sa maintain....:D :D

Is it really necessary to have your car tuned up, every 5,000 kms?
