Most vehicles (for carburetor type) are equiped with the auto-choke for cold starting. This is the equivalent of the choke cable present on old (antique like mine) cars. I believe it is adjustable. Your mechanic must be an expert for your type of vehicle because there has been a lot of modifications done on the carburetor by manufacturers.

ok lang yan tumaas RPM pag cold start pero 2000-3000 is too much. dapat mga 1000 rpm lang. adjust your idler screw ng auto choke mo. do this when the engine is running from a cold start.

Hindi ba bababa yung normal idler nya kapag nag adjust ka, kasi yung 800-900 na idling nya is enough kung mag adjust yun naman ang bababa ng husto.
    Just asking.

hinde po. you don't adjust the idle screw of the carb, yun sa auto choke ang i-adjust. hiwalay po yun screw and pusher nun sa air/fuel mixture screw ng carb.

One more thing. You have to know which screw to adjust. Basically dalawa yun. One for the aircon, the other for the auto choke.
